Darian- Cmon, you can talk to me about it.

-she shock her head, not speaking.... how could she even begin telling him shes gonna die in the tournament tomorrow or the fact that shes total useless or that she wanted to be anywhere but here right now....

Darian- I can't help you if you don't talk to me May.

she felt her self start to cry again, staying silent

Darian bent down. He pulled from his pocket a ring.

Darian- Here...its one of my moonstones that I don't use. With this, you can summon up shadow hounds to help protect yourself. Two at a time however.

"i.. its not mine to take......" she said quietly, staring at the ground

Darian- Its mine to GIVE you. I hate it to see people hurt in these tournaments but Arron always holds them to see how strong students have gotten. Just take it, use it to your advantage.

"i'm bound to die sooner or later.... might as well not get blood on your ring in the process...." she said quietly, all most unhearable...

Darian- Dammit May, stop talking like that!

"heasmaster... i'm useless.... its gonna happen no matter what i think...."

Darian- Dammit May, why do you think so low of yourself?! You're an intelligent beautiful young woman, you have your whole life ahead of you!

she stayed quiet... not looking at him still. she wanted to run or to just close the door in his face anything but... she couldn't force herself to do it. she didn't know what to do.

Darian slipped the ring on her ring finger and began to walk away.

she followed him, taking it off of her finger, planing on giving it back when he turned around.

Darian only walked to his room and closed the door quickly not knowing she was there.

she stood there waiting....

Ken walked by and noticed Maylu. He walked over.

Ken- What're you doing outside Darian's door?

she showed him the ring in her hands before turning back to the door...

Ken- Oh, thats just one of the many rings Darian has. He just gave you one of his stash. He has plenty more like it.

she still wanted to give it back.... she felt it would be cheeting to have something that no one else did.... she quietly knocked on his door

Darian opened the door. He saw Ken and kneed him in the face, sending him flying into a wall unconscious. He turned to Maylu.

Darian- Hey May, try the ring out yet?

she held the ring out to him, not saying anything or looking at him....

Darian- I said keep it, I don't want it.

"p...please...."

Darian sighed and took it.
